Mr Byron Lewis passed away this Sunday, October 11, at the age of 80. He was born in Bethlehem, Connecticut, but moved to New York to pursue a career in engineering and aviation. Mr Lewis was one of the largest private donors to “The New York Massacre Fund” and an advocate of mental health programs.Funeral services will be held at 9’oclock Friday morning at the Fitzgerald Mental Home at 22 Second Street North, Waterville, Maine, where he spent the last years of his life. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Donations in Mr Lewis’ name to the Fitzgerald Mental Home, which was damaged in a gas explosion last week are encouraged.
